AMAZING BCCK ‘SUNGKEI’ SPREAD IS BACK!

An amazing ‘Sungkei’ spread awaits diners at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, at Juh Sungkei di BCCK.
Beginning from 3rd April till 29th April, the Juh Sungkei di BCCK Ramadan Buffet offers a popular Malay fare, local delicacies, kuih muih, international and an assortment of mouth-watering desserts, from as low as RM50nett at www.bcck.org.my
The buffet takes place from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, and will feature a curated menu of all-time favourites such as Whole Roasted Lamb, Poached Prawns and Mussels, Sarawak Laksa, Bubur Pedas and so much more!
The Floating Buffet and Garden Greens section will feature an assortment of salads and appetisers such as Homemade Smoked Black Pepper Mackerel and Prawns on Ice. Local ulam, rojak, salad, kerabu and pickled dishes are also available such as Homemade Sultan Fish Pekasam.
The International Stall offers fares from around the world, with Mongolian BBQ Shredded Vegetables, Lebanese Chicken Shawarma, Arabian Manakeesh, Hong Kong Dim Sum, Korean Kimchi Chicken Stew and Middle Eastern Kabsa Rice.
There will also be Soup Stalls with breads, Noodle Station with fried noodles and soupy noodle options, Claypot Favourites, and of course the much-anticipated Carvery Stall with Whole Roasted Lamb, Slow Braised Ropside Beef and Crispy Roasted Duck.
At the Live Action Stalls, diners can feast on Chicken and Beef Satay, Grilled Spicy Honey Marinated Chicken Thighs, Roti Canai and Deep-Fried Fish, such as Tilapia, Ikan Kilat and Ikan Kembung.
For those with Sweet Tooths, the dessert options are overwhelming with Fresh Fruits, Banana and Apple Fritters with Vanilla Sauce and Cinnamon Sugar, Crème Brûlée, Chocolate
Brownies, a Chocolate Fountain, Nyonya Malay Kuih, Assorted Tartlets, Whole Cakes, Bread and Butter Pudding with Custard, Bubur Sumsum Pandan, Bubur Kacang Merah and a selection of Ice Cream with Condiments.
Gourmeal will also be offering gift packages this Ramadan season, featuring kurma, assortment of cookies and tarts and so much more, with pre-booking dates from 28th February to 27th April, for collection from 3rd to 30th April 2022. Booking will be available at www.bcck.org.my
The Riang Ria Raya Package offers Kuih Makmur, Cornflake Cookies, Chocolate Cookies, Mixed Fruit Cake and a package of sweet Kurma. Also included in the package are one Standard Facemask Lanyard handmade by the Kuching Autistic Association and a Ramadan Greeting Card. The Riang Ria Raya Package is priced at RM98nett.
The Kasih Lebaran Package offers Kuih Makmur, Cornflake Cookies, Chocolate Cookies, Pineapple Tarts, Mixed Fruit Cake, Kek Lapis, Premium Honey, a package of Kurma as well as one Premium Facemask Lanyard handmade by the Kuching Autistic Association, and a Ramadan Greeting Card. The Kasih Lebaran Package is priced at RM198nett.
BCCK takes the health and safety of all its guests very seriously. The Centre will maintain a safe and sanitised environment for diners, with daily deep sanitisation throughout the centre.
Diners’ vaccination and Mysejahtera status will be checked upon entry, and all diners must maintain social distancing and remain masked when not eating. Diners who wish to solat at the venue are required to bring their own sejadah and telekung, and number of prayer-goes at one time will be limited, for the health and safety reasons.
