FOODIES GET READY TO BE SPOILED WITH TANTALISING NEW MENU FROM THE RAINTREE RESTAURANT

Kuching: Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) new Executive Chef Desmond Davies has launched a new scrumptious menu to give guests an exceptional and memorable dining experience at the award-winning restaurant.

Desmond and his team have created a sophisticated selection of menus, entrée highlights include Seared Duck Breast served with a tangy pineapple salsa, pea puree and sesame marinated rice vermicelli; and Crabmeat with Gazpacho served with fresh green apple, pickled red cabbage and tomato gazpacho.

For mains, newly introduced dishes include Traditional Spanish Gambas with tiger prawns in olive oil, fresh herbs accompanied by crispy French bread; Wild Mushroom Cannelloni served in a light aniseed-coriander cream sauce with toasted sesame seed oil and soy reduction; and Duck Confit Ravioli a slow cooked duck meat filled pasta pillows on a roasted onion puree, crispy chicken skin tossed with napolitana sauce. In addition, the Mediterranean rack of Lamb have transformed into mouth-watering Mechoui rack of Lamb served with potato gratin, minted long bean puree and lamb neck pie. Lovers of sumptuous cuts of meat are not forgotten, the culinary team has developed new editions of dry rubs for our steaks, promised to electrify your taste buds.

The burgers combo meal at a price of RM18.90 is a brand-new addition to The Raintree Restaurant menu. Options include BBQ Beef, Chicken Tikka or Spicy Fish Cake burger. Each burger combo is served with a choice of French fries, spicy sweet potato or yam wedges and a cordial drink. It is the best choice for those just wanting a quick bite as it is served throughout the day. “No matter the occasion, whether business lunches, dinner with family or friends, the new menu has a little something for everyone,” said Eric Van Piggelen, chief executive officer of BCCK.

The dessert menu now offers a delectable Rice Pudding with minted mango topped with warm palm sugar sauce presented in a chocolate casing; Cassava Mousse with lemon grass ice-cream and orange caramel sauce; creamy and silky Nutella Crème Brulee; Pavlova topped with fresh cream, crème patisserie and seasonal fruits; and Cassava Mousse with lemon grass ice cream and orange caramel sauce.
