Location: Sarawak
Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia with a land area of 124,450 square kilometres spreading between Latitude 0º 50' and 5º N and Longitude 109º 40' and 115 º 40' E. Sarawak contains large tracts of tropical rainforest home to an abundance of plant and animal species. The Rajang River, traversing 563 kilometres, is the longest river in Malaysia.

Sarawak's population is 2.3 million people, comprising of more than 40 sub-ethnic groups each with its own distinct language, culture and lifestyles. More than half of Sarawak's residents are from the indigenous groups. The Ibans is the largest indigenous group which account for 30% of the populace followed by the Melanau, Bidayuh, Orang Ule, Kayan, Lun Bawang, Kelabit, Kenyah, Penan. The non indigenous groups are mostly Chinese (26%) and Malays (21%).
